American Studies

Undergraduate Program

Students enroll in American Studies courses for a variety of reasons, but one thing you’ll hear again and again is that American Studies provides a way for them to bridge their own studies with those from other disciplines and fields.  Indeed, the field of American Studies is interdisciplinary by nature. Moreover, KSU’s program is part of the growing number of AS programs that examine America and American cultures in context of the world.

KSU offers a 15 hour minor in American Studies that complements most majors.  At present, most students pursuing the minor are majoring in English, History, Communication, Anthropology, and Sociology.
